The assholes who selectively used race to determine who should be able to vote 100 years ago really fricked up the concept of using a test to confirm people understood what they were doing when they voted.

I’ve suggested in the past that we shouldn’t have names or parties on the ballot, but rather the nuanced positions on the “Top Ten” issues on the ballot for most elections.

Make it tax based. If you're moocher, you don't vote. Period.

That would remove about 75/80 percent of the liberal/democrat vote.

People (especially kids) shouldn't watch TV. It makes you stupid.

Kids don't watch TV anymore. I put 48" Roku TVs in their rooms last Fall. Three of em, 13-17 yrs old. They don't turn on them TVs, EVER. Total Waste of money.

They bury their heads in phones on TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram.

Obviously, people blown up are different.

But, most on disability never saw any combat.

Sad but true.

I'm no liberal but I made a point to go through Selma on way to Auburn for the 2018 LSU Football game. I love our country's history, good and bad.

It was almost midnight but one of my kids was awake when we passed through. She was only in 7th grade at the time but visibly bothered and emotional crossing the Edmund Pettus bridge.

I started to tell her about Bloody Sunday but she knew all too well what happened there as she rubbed her eyes. She knew all about the tactics and violence employed to keep blacks from registering to vote in the 60s.
She knew about the 'tests' that only blacks were given to register to vote. She knew about specific trick questions that ensured everyone would fail these 'tests'. I was blown away.

Now mind you, She goes to a conservative Catholic school in Mississippi. They don't learn CRT or preach that "white guilt" bullshite. But they do learn the truth about our country's history.
And I love that.
