Not sure she would be a good fit after reading this article. I know Kim has the ability to rehabilitate certain ball players but, with Williams coming in next year, I’m not sure this is a transfer worth going after.

Reese was seen with Ashley Owusu from VT after winning yesterday. I think it’s a no brainer that with Owusu wanting to get out of VT with all the drama there, there is a big shot Owusu will be a tiger next season

Word is Owusu was a locker room cancer at both VT and Maryland. Hard pass for me but in Kim we trust.

Bartlett and Alisa Williams? Likely transfers to mid Major-level schools for more playing time.

And I hope Poole and Poa stick around. I think they will. But it would not shock me if either or both transfer since they will be falling further down the depth chart.

It will always be a challenge to create a ten-deep rotation in this age of the transfer portal.

I don’t believe so. Poole played a lot in critical games. I see her being a critical piece.

LSU needs a PG

I expect the freshmen class to play a lot but Kim isn't riding a bunch of freshmen in the starting lineup

PG- Portal/ Velez/Poole or Poa
SG- Flaujae/
Wing- M. Williams
PF- Reese
C/PF- Portal/Rosario or Smith

They will go and add a few kids from the portal

A local product I really like is Jamya Mingo Young, played at State and most recently graduated from Alabama. I’m not sure how healthy she is for LSU, I could see her landing at SELU tho.

Some names in the portal
Erynn Barnum 6-2 Forward Arkansas
Lauren Park Lane 5-3 point guard Seaton Hall
Maddie Nolan 5-11 Guard Michigan
Shayeann Day Wilson 5-6 Guard Duke
Sania Wells guard Auburn
Aicha Coulibaly 6-0 Guard Auburn

When did this happen? Thought she was returning to Duke

Can get on board with this

Coulibaly from Auburn is legit, would take as well. But Kim is going to be highly selective from the portal this go round so it will be interesting to see what happens.

All be it, she waited until the final game to show what she can do.

I mean she had been in a slump during the NCAA Tourny, but during the regular season she had 6 games where she 4 or more 3's.

Wasn’t meant as a knock. More of a compliment as that is some serious high praise. 2nd best EVER pure shooter Kim’s coached!?

She was unbelievable in the finals and backed up that high praise. Her slump was felt as this team needed that consistent 3 point threat. You could also see the confidence it gave the rest of the team.

I think M. Williams can help fill the loss of Morris. Smith takes a step next year and Del Rosario help fill L. Williams contributions.

Hit the portal for a veteran PG, another impact big, and find a 3 point shooter to replace Carson and this team is scary good next year.

That woman is pretty stout for a PG.

I'm thinking 3 portal players at least. Another veteran big a veteran point G and a off G 2 who can fill it up from 3.

I like that mix. Ladazhia, Alexis - and apparently Carson from what we just saw in the NC - will definitely be missed. Time to backfill.

Aicha Coulibaly 6-0 Guard Auburn

Wow. She’d be a great get. A six foot guard who averaged 16 points and 6.5 rebounds at Auburn. Not great assist numbers, so I assume she’s more of a shooting guard than a point.

While we may have a logjam at the off-guard positions—those are essentially the positions that Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams would be playing—if Coulibaly wants in, I don’t know how you can turn her away.

What would you do? Start Williams, Johnson, and Coulibaly and try Johnson running the point with Velez coming off the bench to spell any of the three to run point? Poole and Poa would be a little further down the depth chart but they’d be in reserve.

If we got Coulibaly and a veteran point guard like Amoore or the rough equivalent, I think you see one or both of Poole and Poa transferring.

It would be a pleasant problem to have. Coulibaly may be looking for a spot where she is the clear starter at SG. Anyone know if she could run the point? She averaged only 2.7 assists this past season.

This is all just speculation but I’m excited to see who Kim reels in from the transfer portal.

I could live with Barnum being our target transfer big. Like LaDaziah Williams, she is a senior with one last year of eligibility that she’d surely like to spend at a place where she could go out with a NC.

Good scorer and rebounder. Good size. A post rotation of Reese-Barnum-Smith-Del Rosario would be among the very best in the country, if not the best.

May have the inside track with Starkey.
She’s a good player.

Looks like we'll have an opportunity to bring in 2 key pieces from the transfer portal, based on the 2 players that left.

Should be a big opportunity to bring in a couple of real players that want to win....

Would be tremendously helpful to add some more experience as we develop the incoming freshmen studs.
