College campuses have been woke for decades, see the movie PCU from the early 90's making fun of it. When I was at UGA in the 90's, you couldn't walk through the student plaza (we called it Tate Plaza) without there being some kind of protest, or 20 people handing out flyers for some commie cause.

Colleges used to not be like this. It all started with the Vietnam draft. That's when campuses got "radical" and "activist" and whatnot. They never stopped, they just keep moving on to the next thing, decade after decade.

my one/only hope in the future is that we're rapidly approaching the time of Jesus return

the bad news is that it's going to get a WHOLE LOT worse before that happens

There needs to be a reckoning one way or another. I know our "sides" have playful banter but I have no actual ill will for you Ronbros.

We do need to realize that the fence riders would be the first to go though b/c they aren't dependable for the cause of the country if push comes to shove.

Yes, my son is last man standing on 5 family inheritances, so he will have FU mailbox money which means he'll have a leg up and live in a gated community etc. But as for me, I have zero hope to be honest from a 30k view. I knew it was over the second Potato wiped out transportation pipelines and hard earned energy independence initiatives on literally the first day in office with a goddamn pen.

It's almost scary to think about what things will look like a decade from now

We're not the first to go through this. We're just the latest.

I remember the 90's and early 2000's after the old USSR full and the citizens of Russia had had enough of the old communist ways. There were whole divisions of the old soviet army defecting with all their equipment to support the citizens. They really looked like they had a good chance to make great changes in that country (And don't get me wrong they did change a lot) but once Putin get control things started moving in the opposite direction again.

I don't think it's surprising the the USA is headed for something similar, but what surprises me in how soon it's coming to us. Remember the USA is a baby in county years. 247 years, The dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 ended an 1100 year history. The Roman Empire spanned almost 1500 years.

I am hopeful that we are allowed to divide into two different countries.

We are to big with no common bond to hold us together. They want to give minors penis decapitations and boob removal.

I can’t live with people like that.

they managed to:

Drop the birth rate into decline
Self sterilize many with bogus vax's
Ruined the economic structure
Saddle you and the future with un-payable debt
Destroy the election process
Destroyed most small businesses and farms
Make your food poison
Make your water poison
Make your air poison
Make medicine about "not curing" only $$$
Make many of your kids/grandkids hate you, and your value sets
Make young men and women "cut off their parts"
Make growwn men in dresses lap dancing on your 13 year old ok, (and have parents think it's ok, too)
Put porn in the kindergardens
Destroy our infrastructure thru decades of neglect
corrupt the churches
made satan worship cool, and Jesus worship removed

I could go on and on, but won't

and boomers, qanon, and the multitude of other excuses I see here are the reason it is how it is

but, in 2024 trump/desantas will fix it all, so lets argue about that instead

There Is NO COMING BACK from this. None.

A new society may rise from the ashes, but the country as we knew it is TOAST.

I get home from work everyday and spend every day outside until it gets dark either working in the garden with the wife and kids, or playing some type of game with the kids, and taking care of the animals on our little farm. I don't watch the news, but I am more than aware of what's going on. I have an awesome extended family network and our little south Texas town if full of like minded individuals. I have 6 kids and their future and well being is what drives me everyday. I have been preparing for the worst case scenario for years and if it happens I am prepared to do whatever it takes to protect my family and what i have built.

I don't allow myself to get down because your attitude and demeanor will rub off on your kids and I'm not going to let this shitty society affect mine or my kids life.

There is one issue that makes me feel better about America's future. Most people don't keep up with international trends. I do. Trust me, the rest of the world is just as fricked up as we are.

Soviet Union didn't even make 80 years.

During the communist revolution they rounded up Russia's royal family and slaughtered as many of them as they could ending the Russian Empire that wasn't even 200 years old.

No. The Marxists have had complete and total control of academia and entertainment for 60 years now, and they've infiltrated and taken over everything else too. I don't know how it gets reversed without a very violent pushback.
