Beating the Democrats in '24 isn't the ultimate goal

If that is your #1 goal then I can see why you would not want Trump running. The issue is all of D.C. is the problem. Repubs and Dems are the 2 sides of the same coin. It is Globetrotters vs Washington Generals. They are owned by the same team and everything is scripted and predetermined. If you understand that and still prefer RDS over Trump then you are missing the whole point entirely. If you are voting to stop the "evil dems" then you are falling into their trap. The whole system needs a reboot. And the only way that happens is with a true outsider who can shed light on what is actually happening.
Trump isn't perfect. Probably isn't a likable guy. But he is the only one who has ever walked in, fought back, and said I'm going to do the best I can and you can't buy me. That is good enough for me. I'll take 4 more years of what I already know then take a chance of being told what I want to hear and another W administration happens.
But some of you RDS voters will say "He can't win". Well we are fricked as a country regardless and it doesn't matter then. I'll vote for RDS but he isn't really who I want to get the job.

Trump is part of that team.
Record DoD spending.
He increased the size and scope of the NSA which included collaborating with social media.
All letter agency budgets increased high single digits to mid single digits yearly during his term.
He renewed most of the FISA parts of the Patriot Act like Section 702.
He is just more of the same. He is establishment.

Trump had 4 years to reboot the system and the swamp only got deeper and stronger. There is absolutely no evidence this time around will be any different.

This is about the most useless statement in your post. It doesn’t matter whether we believe Trump can win or not, if he’s the nominee we will be voting for him.
The myth of the conservative voter who would rather not vote for Trump at all is exactly that, a myth. That voter will hold their nose and vote for Don.

In addition, if we listen to the hardcore Trump supporters here, Ron is zero threat to Trumps path to the nomination. Don’t you read the polls?

While I agree that outsiders who do not want to preserve the current system are the best choice, this type of thinking is naiive.
You can elect Trump or any other outsider and the system will launch another collective immune response just like it did after the 2016 election. The administrative agencies will drag their feet on directives, the media will attack constantly and even fabricate stories, the courts will stall executive orders and legislation, and money will flow to protestors to make havoc at critical times/places. The entire thing will resist and prevail over a single man, just like it did last time.
If you want to think "big picture" in pursuit of lasting change, you need to really think about where power actually resides and how to get the public to stop drinking their lefty kool aid in exchange for your righty kool aid. You literally have to change the culture before the ruling paradigm will change. You need art, comedy, movies, music, TV, public education, higher education, etc. all pushing your narratives over the narratives of the left.
This seems (and at this moment truly is) impossible, given the current state of things. The zeitgeist of our age is the American flavor of neoliberalism. In order to change this, you need for the elites to become either incapable or unwilling to rule. You need for the public to look at these elites and say "not only do they not represent me, they are not as competent as I am and they have no business leading." In my view, the easiest way to this end is to constantly hold a withering mirror to their fecklessness, corruption, and hypocrisy. The internet has made this possible. Entities like LibsofTikTok and James O'Keefe have done orders of magnitude more to change the culture than any of your preferred GOP candidates for office ever will.
When CNN/ABC/Fox/MSNBC/NYT/WaPo start constantly criticizing the military industrial complex and Harvard and Yale start discrediting gender ideology and critical race studies, you will know you are on the right track. But the path to this end is not "elect this guy." This is a 50 year project at minimum and the best weapons you currently wield are satire and humor.

Is it really winning if you "win" with a candidate the establishment allows to win? OnlyRons saying they will cheat Trump but not Ron isn't a good look for Ron. If you wanna say he's too toxic to win I don't buy that either he's won before and will be going against another shite sandwich. I'd rather go out swinging with Trump than a candidate they are ok with winning.
DeSantis is pure hopium. They want a candidate without Trumps perceived flaws but don't understand that that's what makes Trump appealing. Maybe we don't need another "adult in charge". They are also ignorant to the fact that the white house is vastly different than a governers mansion and there's been many Trojan horses in politics before. They have no record of him running the country to go off of.
One last talking point I've seen is that liberals want Trump over DeSantis, I know this is anecdotal but all the liberals I've seen including my super liberal in laws all want DeSantis over Trump and are all giddy over the prospect of Trump not getting the nom/getting indicted. They want Trump to go away forever because they hate him the most. The OnlyRons on here act strikingly similar to liberals I see irl. That's another projection by them accusing Trump Republicans of not actually being republican. All that being said I'll still vote for Ron if he is the nominee
