We have a good quantity of cheap vodka and whiskey in pints and coffee for trade. We need stock up on cigarettes for trade we don't smoke or drink.

Yeah, we know the backroads to our bugout place.

We are provisioned for more than a year. After that our skill (or lack) will determine our success.

We also have enough seed to trade with.

Been calling for an economic/currency crisis for a while now(gold, guns, ammo, dry-goods, increased self-reliance, etc.)I would absolutely be thrilled to be wrong though…

Even if this is mercifully avoided and we aren’t forced into it: it’s well past time for a return emphasis to local communities economically, socially, and spiritually.

Either way we should follow God, and do our best to have love and compassion for our fellow man. If we turn against each other then our Nation(and our world) will be in danger of falling into darkness.

Luxury.

You won’t live or die based off of whether you have TP.

Junk food. Oreos, Doritos and Dr. Pepper.

Mark my words, you survive off whatever you can scrape up to eat for a couple months, Hell a couple weeks and you’d give your left nut for a Swiss Cake Roll.

Basic medical supplies including your common basket of OTC medications and a few common use antibiotics would be worth more than gold in that scenario.

Modern medical supply chains would be one of the first things to go down in that scenario, and even your best outdoorsmen are highly vulnerable to virus, fever, and infection. A whole of a lot of people would die of shite that would otherwise be easily treatable in normal times.

Quote from that linked article;

Q-A lot of my readers are women and they would want to know what did the women, children and elderly members of your family do on a day to day basis during the time your city was under attack?

The roles were back to hundred years ago. Before war we were modern society, but as soon as SHTF the women, kids and elder stayed mostly at home. They wanted that, no questions. Happened automatically. Did the washing, cooking, cleaning and taking care of sick people. Just sometimes when shelling was a bit less some women came along to gather herbs or MRE if food aid was coming that time. Not often. We always had some man protecting the home, women, children and elderly.

I've read a similar account from Bosnia. He said the most important 3 barter items were: alcohol (drinking), alcohol (disinfectant), and a ladies private region.

Made sense to me.

Thanks for the link. Great read. Probably, the majority of Americans don't believe that type of conflict is possible in USA. Tensions have continued to rise, main stream media and government continues to stir the pot of discontent. Between politics and race, the pressure continues to build and eventually will be released.
I don't think there is any way to reverse the direction at this point.
