Without Rupert there is no Ted Lasso, so in a way, he's the hero we deserve.

It is going to continue to be shown how evil Rupert really is.

I think that’s the only way Nate leaves. He has to see it

Totally is. The whole show is virtue signaling now.

I don’t have a problem with this narrative of a show that needs this narrative, but if I wanted to watch an hour about somebody being gay I’d watch Queer As Folk.

Collin was a tertiary character AT BEST in the earlier seasons, the ONLY reason he has his own storyline now is because the writers wanted to promote a gay storyline.

This is all silly nonsense at this point, and has been since season 2. So I’ll concede it’s dumb and it’s the way it is, but doesn’t mean we need to stop pointing out how bad it is.

It was fine when Ted was the only nonsensical character, because it was semi believable still. A football coach from America trying to coach soccer in England and having trouble getting people to buy in. But now 80% of the show is unbelievable. Nobody’s running into the stands over the word f*ggot. This episode was only propaganda to mandate how “mean of a word that is”. You think a locker room full of professional athletes, men, are going to go “OOooooOOOoOO” when a dude says “he called me the ‘other F word’” You’d get laughed out of the locker room.

Season 1 was the best because it had drama and conflict pertaining to the team. Ownership struggle, places in the table, away matches, players and playing time conflict. I get that a good show needs to divert to personal storylines over the course of the season, but the problem is 1.) since season 2 the show has been a vast majority of personal story lines instead of the actual club and 2.) the writers have made every personal storyline some woke leftist nonsense. A soccer club isn’t even a feasible medium for this narrative anymore. These storylines are much more appropriate for Queer As Folk or a show about a bunch of Leftists going about their lives. Collin is gay, Trent is gay, Keeley is gay/bi. Sam is into his uninformed Lebron causes. Ted’s now a manic depressive with panic attacks. Writing is just using yourself in characters, and that’s all this is. There’s obviously at least 3 gay writers, a bunch of leftists, and a manic depressive in the writing room. This show is a cry for help from the writers much more than an enjoyable hour of entertainment. There’s nobody “normal” to turn to aside from Roy which is why is the biggest hit character on the show.

Maybe but I’ve never gotten a hint that he wants to hang out with Nate. In fact he seems kinda cold towards him even though we know he can fake being charming

I think he wants to frick Jade and get Nate caught redhanded?

Seriously, "10% of people are gay, so chances are, it's not just one person in this room." -- if that isn't virtue signaling, I don't know what is.

Further proof that people actually don't know what virtue signaling means and just use it as a buzzword to say when they hear something they don't like.

Virtue signaling is when someone does the right thing that some people don’t like.

What is virtue signaling then? I don't think he's talking about the character, but more the writing itself. At least, that was my take.

Going to miss Ted with only 3 episodes left. The Keely PR - LEsbian arc has been a bit dumb. I think the Colin arc really paid off great.

This was a much better episode and was genuinely funny which has been the biggest issue.

I laughed hard at the Leslie "Another One" - DJ Khaled mention that led into the "American Office" quote hah.

Most people say this is the last season and they only have three episodes left.

So let’s assume that’s correct, they have a lot of loose ends to tie up. My prediction

Nate and his girl get engaged and he leaves the team because of Rupert.

Ted and his ex get back together and he moves back home. Either Beard, Nate or Roy replaces Ted.

Rebecca is the biggest wild card. I have no idea what she does. I could see her just moving to the Netherlands to live a simple life with that guy, although that would never last.

Honestly the way they’re handling Colin makes me even more angry with the Keely bullshite. They’re handling that story about perfect.

I couldn't agree more. They've covered a lot of ground with Colin and I wish more of Hollywood would take note of their approach.

Rupert is absolutely going to make a play on Jade.

The question will be does she bite?

I assume they’re all getting head manager gigs

-Roy: Chelsea (I think that’s where he played in his prime)

-Nate: Richmond or West Ham if Rupert somehow gets banned from owning a team. Narratively it makes way more sense for him to go to Richmond though

-Beard: Could be literally anywhere

I don't think so. I think he will try to make his move and when she turns him down he will probably go on a classist rant about how beneath him she is. He will probably try to convince Nate to break up with her because in his mind the coach of his football club should be with a super model not an ordinary restaurant hostess. Nate is going to realize what a bad person he actually is. I think we will have a scene where he stands up to Rupert only for Rup ert to berate him and show his true colors. The ultimate redemption for Nate would be to tell Rupert to f off and go back to Ted and ask for forgiveness.

This is an extremely shallow and short-sighted take.
