They do miss a lot of layups. It is what it is.

Great deflection. Can please you now answer his question, what did you want the response to be?

It’s not a deflection. Mulkey should teach them the proper technique. This alone doesn’t make her a bad coach. I see football players tackling high all the time, but that doesn’t mean the head coach is bad.

Are you saying girls are incapable of doing proper layups?

George Gervin is never going to get anywhere with this “finger roll” chicanery.

Now address shooting underhanded layups

You're not even a coach of youth league, much less college. You have no idea what you're talking about. Shut up moron

You don’t have to be a basketball coach to know it’s easier the block shots from the hip than shots up high

His finger rolls where up high and over the rim.

When you are going in for a layup and the opponent is taller than you, why would you start your ball motion from down low. One of the first things they teach you is to keep the ball up high.

This is just women’s basketball in general. They tend to bring the ball down after a rebound which is frustrating. You rarely see a rebound and put back in one motion in the woman’s game.

Yep. When a taller player gets a rebound and drops it down low, she’s negates all her advantage

MM is the one teaching them. He decided to do this instead of try and be a competent men’s coach

I mean it's true. Before this game Tennessee was the best team we played and they are No. 20 in the NET.

you also don't have to be a basketball coach to know that women have smaller hands than men & they can't exactly palm/control the ball. They shoot from the hip for longer control of the ball to actually take their shots.

Logic 101.

This is women’s basketball, not men’s. Women don’t typically have the hand size to palm a basketball which most men will do before dunking or lay up. Women don’t grip the top of the ball because it takes away protection and equals less control. Underhand gives woman control of the ball, with hip/body protection, until it is time to raise the ball midair and release.

so you're saying there is a difference in strength and athleticism between the women and the men?

shite, they give them a basketball the size of a volleyball to play with
