NIL topic, I wonder how much it cost to get Player of the Year to return to UK.

NIL has to be pretty good when Tshiebwe returns to UK with Millions waiting in NBA.

Number 5 last years draft made 5.5 million.

He’s a different type guy though so you never know. Some cultures value education over money. He could have got a big nil deal though

Probably not a lot. He’s an elite rebounder. His game doesn’t fit the NBA anymore. He can’t shoot worth shite.

He's projected as a late 2nd round pick. He can probably make more money at UK than floating around the G League

Not sure why you referenced the number 5 pick. Tshiebwe would've been a late first rounder at best.

As I heard stated earlier, Nick Saban buys extra insurance policies to cover those who return for their junior or senior years in case of injury. I would guess this may be the case here also. And I don’t know why LSU is not doing that.

The others are right.
He is likely a bench player in the NBA.

Those insurance policies are a bitch to get paid out and still don’t compensate the losss.

Oddly enough, even being POY his draft stock was not high enough to lure him out.

I have the amount of $2,000,000 in my head. No link or nothing to back it up, but that's what I remember hearing around the time he declared he was returning to UK for another year.

I think the 2 million was a reported number. I wouldn't be surprised if it was half of that though.

Barkley and Rodman say rebounding is good.

That has been done for years and is legal by NCAA regulations.

LSU is doing that. They covered Leonard Fournette for like 1.5 mil with varying levels of payouts depending on injury
