UAB seems like they reached on Trent Dilfer

G5s can get away with these hires failing. Worth a shot sometimes.

Deion is interesting. Freeze is iffy to me. He never won more than 9 games at OM. He had to cheat to win 9. Good offensive mind, but IDK if he can get the horses to win enough for AU. He may end up like Richt and Malzahn. 8-10 wins per year.

It's Cincinnati. They should have hire someone like Garrett Riley yet went with a guy that was about to be fired.

That place is one of the best non P5 jobs in the nation and should’ve had their pick of coordinators and they go with Satterfield?

Brian Kelly -> ND
Mark Dantonio -> Mich St
Luke Fickell -> UW
Butch Jones -> UT

Satterfield? Yikes

I kinda like the Dilfer hire. Guy was an NFL QB.

That’s the extent of the qualifications you need to be impressed by a hire?

Texas ruined him

No…. Bourbon, cocaine, and his high end side piece “ ruined” him. If he has his personal life ba k under control I think he can do well at FAU, if not we’ll get the popcorn ready..

I’m a Prime fan an the realist in me says he’ll fail at Colorado.

They don’t have the resources to support the NIL angle and elite coaches he’ll need. He’s like Ed O without the exp.

Hope he proves me wrong.

How many years is LSU fans going to give Brian Kelly to win a championship at LSU? 4 or 5 years?

It has to be Cincy. Especially since they have had a really good track record of hiring coaches, aside from the 2 year Tuberville experiment.

Here are their last few coaches going back to the early 2000’s excluding interims.
- Mark Dantonio
- Brian Kelly
- Butch Jones
- Tommy Tuberville
- Luke Fickell

All except Tuberville were on their way up and showed a good deal of growth. Unless they see something in Satterfield that no one else has, it’s a real curious choice.

Cincinnati... had much better candidates than Satterfield, and with them going to the Big 12, there's much more pressure for them to perform on a bigger stage... Dilfer is a low risk/high reward hire... UAB doesn't have as much risk, so they can afford to gamble a little on their hire...

He will get some impact players and they’re in the PAC12. He will do well.

don’t see the risk there. They were 1-11 last season and have been dog shite for years. Why not try something unconventional to see if it works?
this and also worse case is he brings in some talent for the next coach. If they stay
