Oregon got to the NC with Darron Thomas and unofficially pushed him to enter the draft; I think he went undrafted. His replacement was Mariota.

I f he is not willing to give Nuss some meaningful snaps in the bowl game, I do not know what to think of BK's ability to understand the position of QB. It would be very Milesesque.

What concerns me are his comments following the UT game regarding the lack of a passing game. He said “We don’t see it that way”. Ultimately, I’m going to trust CBKs judgement. Hopefully, whatever direction he goes works out for the team.

LSU needs someone who can actually play the position.

I agree. I hope JD goes pro. Just not convinced that’s what’s going to happen yet. We’ll probably know at some point today, I hope.

Auburn, Tennessee, and Kentucky all need a QB.

You can add TCU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech to that list - all relatively close to his family in North Texas as well. Agree with Damone that the number may be higher than $250K.

don't see Howard sticking around for 3 years of Nuss before he gets his shot.

If Nuss lights it up for 2 years he’ll go pro and Howard will still have 2 years.

Yes, but that's not how these kids see it anymore. Hopefully with him being a legacy it will be diff but it doesn't seem like that's how it will go in this day of college football

Heck if Nuss lights it up next year he will be draft eligible after the 2023 season and enter the draft in 2024.

I just hate to see all that arm talent riding on the LSU bench. And I know the turnover issues can be ironed out with proper coaching, awareness and play calling.

Thinking the same thing, Under Sonny Dykes Nuss would lite it up in the big 12, not sure TCU has the receiver core he currently has at LSU. Just hoping some desperate NFL team drafts JD as a back up QB or slot receiver.

If Nuss lights it up he's not staying 2 years.

If you think NUSS is only commanding a quarter million, you’re sorely mistaken. Think seven figures, commensurate with his performance against Georgia.

Nuss blows up he could be gone after next year. If he doesn't, walker could take his job and nuss transfer. No way do you keep a limited QB for one final year with the risk of losing talented QBs who will be rs soph and rs fresh.

IMO JD would get picked in the late 5th or early 6th round. He better take it now because I don't believe his draft stock will get any higher.

Last 2 drafts have been rough for quarterbacks. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go late on day 2, because he is going to shine at the combine. It's film that will hurt him, but NFL coaches are arrogant enough to think they can fix that.

Yea, I feel like Auburn will go after him, depending on who else pops up in the portal.

High freeze wants a Qb more like Daniels than he does Nussmeier.

But, you can't tell me an NFL team will keep a QB on the roster who literally can't pass downfield. I'm sorry.

Even Tebow made it 3 years in the NFL, and his teammates thought he was an a-hole.

Kelly needs to call Dabo and ask him how to grow balls and make this QB move....think Dabo isn't looking like a complete dumbass right about now!

yep. I'm trying to say it a little more diplomatically to avoid setting off yet another rancorous exchange about JD/Nuss.

The rant doesn't make those decisions, and obviously BK doesn't think JD is limited enough to sit him for Nuss as he hasn't all season except for JD getting injured.

FWIW, Walter Football is picking Daniels as the 6th QB in the draft.

Can we say he is the great QB that lead us to the SEC West title and should start next year, without accepting that he really is all that and will likely go pro?

I think he is great, wonderful QB that would do well in the NFL.

Next man up.

I said this previously, maybe even in this thread, but CBK quietly telling Daniels that he won’t have the starter job locked in for next season isn’t without precedent.

Oregon did it with Darron Thomas after he led them to the NCG.
