If you're staying in downtown CLE, I'd recommend just walking down E 4th Street and picking a spot that catches your eye. My personal favorite is Butcher and the Brewer. Good local craft beer with some solid food (mostly shared plates). One of the local favorites is Mabel's BBQ which is right across from Butcher and the Brewer. Society Lounge is great place for cocktails (no TVs there but a cool vibe). I moved about a year ago, and there's been several restaurant/bar changes during that time; might be some new restaurants worth eating at... You could also go down to the Flats if you want to be on the river. Technically walkable from downtown, but you can take a quick Uber there. I like Collision Bend Brewing Company for the atmosphere, but there's a bunch of good bars and restaurants in that area.

For some other stuff to do, you could check out the Christmas Story House. It's not that impressive, but if you're a big fan of the movie it could be worth checking out. West Side Market on W 25th is a cool spot. There's also a bunch of great places to eat/drink that are on W. 25th and very walkable from the market (Market Garden Brewery, TownHall, Mitchell's Ice Cream are my personal favorites).

Enjoy!
