I’m married to an Aggie and I ask lots of questions because I just don’t understand them! The yell leaders use hand signals called pass backs so the fans know what cheer to do next. Starting with the bottom rows, they “pass back” the yell hand signal.

Thanks for linking that. After reading it I still wonder why they just don't yell in the megaphone things instead of that foolishness.
