Emery runs with too much upper body violence.

IMO that’s the issue with his fumble problems especially on a wet and rainy night. I understand his running style will profit him some nice extra yardage every now and then but his running style leaves the ball exposed too many times leading to fumbles. He needs to secure that ball with two hands when running through the LOS. By doing so it will keep his body from flailing about and exposing the ball to getting easily knocked out of his hands.

He was securing the ball with two hands when it was stripped the last time. Inexcusable.

Maybe he’s just tucking it wrong or something. Hopefully it’s fixable.

Surprised he’s having issues with frank as RB coach. LSU always preached high and tight to your chest, especially in les miles days. Fumbling is one problem lsu RBs never really had in the past.

He was so much more talented than everyone else coming up through HS that ball security wasn’t a concern.

Four years later, he still hasn’t fixed it.

Agreed.

Although I would say too upright and out of control. Not sure if violent is the right word

Look, I wish John Emery all the luck in the world, but the fact remains - he can't hold on to the football. Whether it's his running style, loss of concentration, or whatever, he fumbled the ball twice. Not good.

Right now, LSU is one game away from entering the playoffs. Starting with the SEC Championship. We can all agree, Coach Brian Kelly (or any coach) will have to field his best team members if he hopes to win all the marbles.

From here on in, including that game in College Station, the games get more brutal. The SEC is no cakewalk.

Now consider this. John Emery fumbled the ball away twice on IMO 'certain' scoring drives last night. Not good.

Roger Craig had the same issues in college and became one of the best running backs in the NFL with that upper style and high knees. Hope Emery figures things out if he can come back next year or if an NFL team takes a chance on him.

His last fumble was when he had BOTH HANDS AND ARMS WRAPPED AROUND THE BALL.
