Y’all find it strange Tom Herman isn’t a candidate for some these openings?

I mean he wasn’t terrible at Texas, and pretty good at Houston.

Honestly I was upset with missing out on him for white boot boy. He was recruiting his arse off at Texas but the boosters didn’t want him.

Not gonna lie… I thought he would be the MAN at LSU, then we hired CEO. Herman looked lost at Texas at times.

Lovie Smith was a lot worse than that at Illinois and got a head coaching job in the NFL.

But it's the Texans, so it's not like a real NFL team

Lovie also got the Bears to a Super Bowl though.

Herman should get a call soon. He's a good coach. Two top 10 finishes with two NY6 bowl wins is nothing to sneeze at. The hype overwhelmed him and the patience of Texas fans IMO.

I do like Jamey Chadwell. Too bad South Carolina pass on him.

Same. And I like that he's hung around Coastal for awhile and sustained success.

He already has more experience as a HC and more tenure at Coastal than guys like Drinkwitz, Frost, Herman and Rhule did at their respective programs when they hopped to bigger jobs.

Quickly turning around programs is great, but proving you can sustain it is an even bigger deal IMO.

I haven't looked (nor really care to) but I'm sure since it was Texas he got a pretty nice buyout. Maybe he's sitting back a few years collecting that and doesn't want to lose it by getting another coaching job.

He should be in the running for a solid G5 job.

I’d love for him to be OC at Alabama next year. Hell hire him right now and he’d be better than BOB even with no time to prepare

Doubt they'll do it since he coached at Texas but aTm should think about giving him a call to be their OC. Herman likes kissing dudes and aTm loves dude cheerleaders, it's a decent match on paper

He has. But if he wants to coach again, he really should be on a coaching staff right now, and not in an announcer's booth.
I think he's a pretty good announcer. He doesn't have a melodic delivery or anything, but he has interesting things to say.

If UT boosters weren't idiots Herman would still be there and likely dominating the Big 12.

I'd be all for Leonhard hiring him as OC.
