Not my school, but I remember USA Today did a story on VPHS having something like 8 of their offensive starters all being Fontenots.

Jr. High, assistant principal having affair with teacher. Right before classes, he walked in and shot her dead. The yard looked like it was covered in ants so many kids running and jumping fences.

I've laughed three times so far. the whole thing is so horrific at the same time.

in the movies the kids shriek. I am certain I would have been silent.

so many kids shooting parents. hell on earth.

my incident was several names were called during home room the day we were supposed to graduate. they were all routinely stealing fuel at a private company pump. in those days basic idiocy larceny could be expunged by joining the army.

Boy and girl I knew had sex on his couch. His friend was hiding in the closet with a video camera. The video tape circulated around School until football players got caught with it. It was turned over to Mayfield PD.

The story made the news. Names weren’t released because they were minors. When Graves County played Mayfield in district tournament, the Mayfield fans brought signs that said, “Are we on camera?”

Sometimes I feel high school was like Varsity Blues. Alot of sex and drinking went on. Football and basketball players banged female teachers. One of the football coaches banged some female students when they turned 18. He’s in prison now for sleeping with a 14 year old.

One of the assistant principals got caught bent over her desk by a basketball player. The basketball team and cheerleaders went to a tournament in Las Vegas. It ended up being a massive orgy between both. One of the cheerleaders got knocked up.

Then senior year, a kid I went to elementary school with, and my grandfather even helped not be scared of the dark on a school trip to the smokey mountains, got insanely high on about 5 things and murdered his parents and three siblings with an axe.

These stories are amazing! The only thing that would make this better is if the school and year were posted too.

He left for one of Monroe's private schools, and ended up marrying a girl from their sister school, who cheered at there games. I shouldn't talk. I helped my old school as a volunteer defensive asst.in the early 80's while attending NLU. I was basically the the LB/DL coach for two years. I called both sides' defensive fronts from the sidelines. Had a LB on one side, and a DE on the other that were great blitzers. The right side was the Rogue blitz the left side was the Grinnel. That's what us country boys called Bowfin.

McKinley Middle, late 90’s…had two kids hang themselves. Supposedly some suicide pact. Then another guy, little while later, maybe the summer, can’t quite remember…hung himself too.

Kid got expelled for bringing a knife to school. Goes home and hangs himself in his shower (I think). Had a good friend he had made a suicide pact with, so she went home and hanged herself in her closet. I knew one of the families involved. Very sad.

Kid was beating it in his desk and got caught. He ended up having to transfer from all of the ensuing harassment.

Y’all went to some messed up schools.

It's like every high school had teachers and students banging each other. I guess this must be a class for teachers in college it is so widespread. My high school had it too. Student was banging the married English teacher but it never got exposed to the public because the teacher went on to teach a good 20 after we graduated. I think the biggest thing was one student who I am not really sure her elevator went to the top floor got raped by another student at a football game.

Jeffrey Franklin.

Awful story, and so insane how much peoples lives can change. I clearly remember him as a regular goofy kid in elementary school.

Didn't hang out with him any when we were older, but were in the same math class senior year when he did it. He was obviously much different, but never had any idea anything like that was coming.

Apparently he holed up at home for a few days and did a massive cocktail of drugs both illicit and pharmaceutical and went over the edge. They found him out wandering in the streets that night.

I remember when that happened. I lived in the area then.

Was this in Huntsville, Alabama? If so, it happened a couple years after I graduated Grissom High School and right down the street from one of my best friend's house. Horrific story. The First responders were traumatized. One of his siblings, a sister, survived. He was arrantly walking down Bailey Cove Rd. on the way to her gymnastics or dance class or something to kill her when the police found him. At least that was the rumor I remember hearing.
