Lucy Stanhope is another rumored transfer

Well I heard she got upset that she was only in 1 lineup. Also they said she went to Utah because it was close to home but maybe now that she’s older she wants to spread her wings a little. I looked on her insta and a lot of our girls are following her.

Regarding who if anyone will return, it’s not looking good for any of our seniors to return.

I mean a lot of this probably depends on how these ladies feel physically. Kai and Kiya have had lots of injuries issues and difficulties managing chronic pain among other things. Even Alyona, I heard she has been dealing with a lot of that type of stuff as well. They have had to dial back the training and reps because of it.

I do think Cammy will be back. At least thats what I have been told.

Even if Kiya only does one or two events. Much better than not having Kiya at all. I would kill to have her back at least for beam and bars.

Love her on vault and beam. I think we can maybe get through with the rest (also her bars set was always scored way too low I thought but could have been to lineup placement and the hand adjustment she always did prior to her bail)

But if her body doesn’t allow it - I don’t think anyone ever expected Kai to do another year even before she got hurt and Alyona, I am ok with her coming back if Jay doesn’t feel compelled to use her on bars. But really Kiya on any events and haleigh and Aleah in Aa coupled with the talent we have started to develop this year in Brock, Tatum, Cowan, and Jeffrey. That’s a team that could really contend.

Also, similar to why I believe we lost Neff to Utah, Sage is LDS and her twin brothers (if you all didn’t already know, she is a triplet) born run track and cross country for BYU. With everything her family has been through since she was born, I highly doubt she would want to leave Utah

I like Alyona but I don't want it to become a situation like last year when Jay was holding others back just to play his "super seniors." His loyalty to them was hurting the team. I think Alyona was super valuable to the team this year but we need an upgrade. It was clear in the finals that to win it all (which we all want), it was routines like Alyona's that was holding them back.

That's not taking anything away from her, but last year I completely soured on a few of the super seniors and I just don't want that to happen with Alyona.

Alyona was super talented and big time recruit coming into LSU. I think she had a solid career but a few things never lead up to her potential. She was injured a lot and IMO she would not stop growing. I think with her new body she was not able to get back into her ultimate form. I think this is something that is never really talked about but gymnast have to deal with coming into college. I with yall Im fine with her coming back but probably with a lesser role.

Would definitely like to see Alyona back as well, as long as Jay is able to pick the best lineups based on ability. She hasn't had the best scores this year and I am one of those who is doubtful about her place in the bars lineup with this dismount, BUT we shouldn't forget that she has given us four whole years of AA after an intense elite career. None of my comments was to take anything away from Alyona. She's been a great gymnast, consistent, and much needed. Something to be said for being available all the time too. My thing is I don't want it to be another situation where Jay has her in lineups just out of loyalty.

She could bring nice depth and be an asset on the floor, but there's no way if she comes back that she isn't used in the AA. Which I think, could be a detriment.

Also, some may not graduate until summer or the fall semester. If none return do you think Jay will bring in several others for the sake of depth?

Depending on ultimately scholarship availability. Jay has openly stated he isnt wanting to build or maintain this program through the portal but I do think if the scholarship is open and there is someone in the portal to help this team or add depth, he would be inclined to bring someone else in. Like I mentioned before, given how our season went, you can never have enough depth. If we do add any from the portal, I'm going to bet its mostly grad transfers or just one year deals before that 24 class comes in

Yeah I heard rumblings of her leaving elite to come to lsu. Hopefully no matter what happens, she makes a decision and has no regrets about it
