Road to Nationals is my go to source for this info. We have 2 more away meets before post season to be able to drop our other 196 score and the 197.2 from Arkansas. Also: recall that Sec champs counts as an away score too that if we do well there, can hopefully further boost our NQS before Regional seeding is done

Well, IMO Aleah deserved Gymnast of the Week considering her stellar performance and Trinity's beam "10"that was not truly a 10. Trin admitted it on social media. Sorry, but I as well as others are a little weary of the lack of variety in the SEC Honors. The way they choose the honors should be revisited. It's the same song and dance most weeks for teams that have gymnasts who dominate at times in performance but more often in the minds of the judges.

Aleah scoring a 39.800 on the road with a 10 and 9.975 on floor at auburn was more impressive and just as deserving of recognition

And I’m not trying to knock down trinity because she is one of the best out there as well.

Feels like they should have done a co-gymnast of the week (which they have precedence for) - they did one earlier this year with Suni and someone else, and I don’t know that they had a tied all around score (though perhaps they did)

Exactly my point. That performance for Aleah on the road was awesome. Trinity has been one of the best for 5 years in the NCAA. She has been well honored throughout her time as a College gymnast.

Aleah was the better gymnast last week regardless of the .025 different. She was on the road while Trinity was at home. Trinity also did not deserve a 10 on her beam. It’s just absurd that they only look at the top AA score. I feel like they used to do a better job of looking at who contributed the most to a team. I know LSU didn’t win so that probably wouldn’t have helped but Aleah was most impressive. She beat the reigning Olympic champ in her house. Trinity wouldn’t have with her performance, I promise.

Well heck, I thought I saw that Aleah WAS gymnast of the week! Did she get any honors?

Unfortunately she did not get a SEC Honor but deserved one for sure!

So far, anyone else think Elena Arenas has been underscored most of the year on every event? Her gymnastics are beautiful IMO.

Maybe vault sometimes - but that’s the risk you run with opening with a full.

On bars probably not due to her pak and her dismount. Beam, probably not because of leaps and/or bobbles she has had in her routines. Though I do think it was a great move to put her in first for Kai because I think she does have fairly good nerves and consistency.

Her gymnastics are good, but there are some form things she has - and vault is just hard to get them to go above 9.8ish unless you stick, especially in the first spot with a 9.95 start value (she also sometimes pikes down for the landing)

Inside Gymnastics named Aleah Finnegan as their Gymnast of the Week!

Meet notes were released last night and I did not notice any changes from last meet (Cowan is listed for bars as an alternate, but IIRC she was also alternate last week).

Are we never seeing Bryce again on beam? I can't believe that is going to be our final line-up

Livvy showed a great bars set yesterday in IG. If Bryce is done on beam for the season they could at least let her get experience on vault or floor grrr

What is everyone looking forward to tonight? I am just wanting continued improvement and consistency in the beam line up. I'd also like to see Cowan get another chance before reverting back to Elena. I'd also like to see Livvy replace Alyona rather than Tori if they put her in pass, but I know that's unlikely.

Also would like us to take advantage of this environment for our highest score yet - and maybe Haleigh nailing her floor for 9.95+ like we know she can!

Just about every thing you said but would also love to either see Bryce back on beam or some more lineup shuffling there. It really needs to start Elena, then sierra, Kai, alonya, hayleigh, Aleah. Would love to keep seeing Tori improve on bars, and chase continue to improve on floor. We need a good score. And no offense to them but for Bart and Kathy to just keep quiet. I already know they are going to slob all over hayleigh, Aleah, trinity, and Leann. It’s not something I need to hear every time they commentate.

ETA: you no what it is offense because I really don’t like those 2!

Especially 2021 - last pass. I had been thinking about it all day. So proud of these girls and this team - it also seems like the coaches are making some good, if small, changes and I commend them for that as well.

You know Haleigh had to be thinking about that all week! And she absolutely killed her floor routine. I think that was the best landing on the last pass that I’ve ever seen her do! She is amazing!

The change in Arenas' bars composition, and KJ's beam combo were my biggest positives from tonight. Finally some signs of good coaching decisions.

Now, do Alyona's dismount next!
