Options are where the real money is made or lost now. I’ve been trading options for about 30 years. The game has definitely changed since I started. Brokerage fees and commissions were much higher and the spreads much wider in the past with fractional quotes. In the beginning I could not trade from a website and had to call the broker to place the order and they would call back if the order was executed. Since options move fast you can just imagine how much better it is to trade confidently with today’s platforms, real time quotes, and decimal point trading. Has completely opened up and allowed efficient option trading to the average investor.
Guess I just wanted to let the younger people know how lucky they are as option traders today.
I mostly employ neutral option strategies. Volatility is what I trade.
