Here is my board. Long oil and nat gas and short the market pretty much. All defined risk.

Diagonals. All calls. I do short positions on these calls every month.

VET Dec 10/Oct 27.5
CTRA Jan 2023 26.5/Sept 32
CRK Jan 2023 12/Sept 20
PR Jan 2024 7/ Oct 10
UAA Jan 2024 7.5/ Oct 10
Vale Jan 2024 13/ Sept 13.5

Long diagonals on oil and gas have worked for me the last 12 months. In Sept 2021 I bought 45 Dec 2022 VET calls at the 10 strike for $2 a piece. a $9K investment. At the time the stock was at $9. The stock is now trading north of $25. By the time this trade is over I should make about 70K. Also, I paid off my initial $9K investment selling calls every month.

This is one reason I like long diagonals. Get long calls and generate income every month.

Bull put spread
VET Oct 22.5/25
VET Jan 2023 22.5/25

Call spread
VET Jan 2023 20/25
PR Oct 8/9

Lots of VET. You have to go with your best idea.

I usually have about 10-12 positions. I had short positions on SPY and Ford(F) I sold yesterday. I have been playing SPY with put spreads on the high side around 420. That has worked except for when SPY spiked to 430 recently.

I think we are going back down on the S&P over the next three months. Maybe re-test the 3600 level. Will be doing a calendar spread or whatever I like.

Good to see another strategy. I like the concept of diagonals.

I noticed your short calls are within the next month or two; and the longs are 2024. Are you typically putting on new short calls every month if the previous month expires worthless?

I like what I see there.
