No, but I served with a dude who completed one of their schools. Said it was a hoot.

I’ve served with and trained along side of Legionaries. Does that count? Great bunch of guys and excellent warriors. Knew several Marines that got out and joined the Legion. I never once had a bad experience serving with them.

I guy I served with (Boston College grad) got booted from the Army for a DUI and that was his new career choice. I lost contact with him after a few years but he had some stories. Now this was ~30 years ago so I don't know how it has changed. It was hard to get into he described it as a much lower acceptance rate than Harvard. When you get in they give you a false identity and backstory. The initial training at the Farm was 4 or 5 months and they lived on ~500 calories a day and he became nothing but muscle and gristle. He was a big guy when I knew him, maybe 210 but fit and he dropped down to about 160. He said it made Ranger school look like kindergarten plus you were training with people who few spoke the same language. They didn't have the same training safety standards the US military does, people got fairly seriously injured all the time. I training ended with something like a 50 mile ruck march. There was several more months of infantry training which he said was much easier for him since we were grunts. Then special schools after that.
He seemed to enjoy it while I kept up with him. At one point my emails just started bouncing, I have no idea if he is alive or dead.

Glad to hear it, Nick. BTW you still owe me that $150 I loaned you at Fort Outpost to pay the "stripper" for a blowjob. Lemme know where I can send my Venmo deets.

There was an army very in our area who got into trouble and then left to join the Legion. Never heard from him again. Just know he was trying I get French citizenship and then move to the EU.

Our platoon guide in boot camp. Claimed to be from Ireland but his English was horrific. We went on a 10-12 mile hump and he was saying it was lame as they have to do a 100 mile hump in 3 days to graduate.
