Dan Campbell is a GOAT motivator. Players should love playing for him.

This last bit of losing has to get out of here. The sh(t that f**king crushes us. That costs us a fu**king game. That costs you a season. Cost you the playoffs. Cost you a championship game. Costs you a Super Bowl. Like, that’s the sh*t sh*t we got to get out,”

Now, can he coach?

We shall see if there is improvement with the Lions this year.

Motivation is about 1/4 of an NFL head coach’s job.

He can motivate, his players love playing for him and the offense got significantly better when he took the playcalling duties away from Anthony Lynn.

He is very aggressive and some of his in-game decisions backfired. Those are the outstanding questions.

I think he could recruit like crazy if the NFL doesn’t work out and he wants to give college a try. JMO.

More like 2% if you actually bring players in that don’t need a middle aged man to motivate them to want to win.

The Bengals and Saints for example, don’t need a Dan Campbell.

People love this stuff until it doesn’t produce results and then it turns very quickly into everyone calling that coach a joke

He’s got time there but the same guys raving about these motivational tactics will be the same ones saying the Lions need an adult HC if they continue to be the lions level of bad and skewering him on a weekly basis

Mike Singletary 2.0

You want one of those guys on staff for culture but at some point a team needs a head coach

Totally. Most coaches stand in front of the players with a limp dick talking about screen passes and technique while the professionals bring their hard hat and lunch pail and get to work.

Campbell can coach. The issue is lack of talent and injuries. Everything about him to me says he’ll be a top head coach - in his second try. He’s going to get canned by the Lions bc he’s not bad enough to let them truly fail for a top top pick and they want another Matthew Stafford

Not only are they not talented enough to win with the current roster, they are incentivized not to for at least another year or two so they can draft a premier QB.

Any head coach that can elevate Detroit to an elite team should be granted knighthood. I can't think of another franchise who have been this bad for this long. I literally have no memory of this team ever being anything that resembled a Super Bowl contender. You wouldn't even think you could accidentally be this bad for this long.
