My only other guess would be a close family member is in hospice or dying he's spending time with them before they pass.

One of the best writers was on with Masconna last week. It seems to be everyone around the team knows what the issue but no one is reporting on it which with mean it is something personal and serious.

For everyone saying this is some veteran's day off thing, they will literally say when that is the case. No need to fake it.
But a veteran doesn't take the first week of camp off. That's when most of the base stuff is going in and it's most important to be there.
If it was veteran's rest it would happen in week 2 or be only a day off.
For anyone else fear mongering with the Twitter shite, that they heard this and that, that maybe he is retiring or in rehab, get the frick out of here with the bullshite.
Something is going on not Saints related (and it's not drug related; again get out of here with that bullshite) and it's not our damn business. He will be back. Give the man his fricking space and knock the bullshite off.

Him being out for family and/or personal reasons is perfectly fine and should be respected. But the social media scrub is strange. Maybe it's something athletes do to help them focus. Maybe it's something they do to get attention. I feel like things like this never end well, though.
