In 2018 and early 2019 before covid I regularly saw nopd patrol and stop cars on i10 just past the bullard ave exit. I havent seen an nopd unit on the interstate since covid. Hell, i barely see troopers on i10 in nola and i drive the interstate daily!

They attempted to rob me on bourbon over Mardi Gras then tried to follow and catch me when I got to canal. 200 yards from a cop on first try. I saw spotters on every block of bourbon on both sides. it’s clear cops have just given up in New Orleans. The Governor should call in the guard and take over the damn place

Sounds like if one these assholes was to be dropped in an interstate shooting, all you'd have to do is drive off.
If they can't even figure out why these shootings are happening, do you think NOPD or LSP is going to put any extreme effort into solving a homicide if the dead person is in a stolen vehicle with an illegal gun?

I saw a guy point a gun at another car on I10 near Crowder. I called *lsp because I know 911 goes to NOPD so don't patrol interstate.
The state trooper fricking transfered me to nopd who never picked up.

I have no choice but to go to Nola daily. I did cut out Nola east. That pissed off my Eastover and Bullard estates customers but the East just sucks and you know your on your own.

Yea these posters begging for the feds to dismantle LSP have no idea what they’re in for. The feds neutered NOPD with the consent decree. They will kill the LSP.

These are Mexico level road crime statistics - state department issues travel warnings to avoid certain areas and some reports even go so far as to say it's a failed state.... But local reporters here told to stop calling it serial sniper. NO has failed.
