I’ve been going to the Week 4 retreat for about 10 years - I’ll try and answer this one for you. I’m not catholic btw
It depends…
It’s gotten lost a bit in the discussion here, but, Manresa is a religious retreat based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola (founder of the Jesuits). Most of the guys that go are seeking the silence mentioned and time with the Lord. I wouldn’t compare it to a camping trip. You’ll eat like a king at Manresa and sleep in your own room.
If you get a chance to go, I highly recommend it!
