Our companies really don’t have a need to have a player market them. They don’t have large advertising budgets.

Exactly! When companies start looking at their bottom line and figuring out that they're getting NO BANG for their buck, it'll start to dry up. Right now, it's like the early days of the nuclear arms race. Eventually, people grow weary of the bullshite and its purveyors.

Oh for the old days when you played sports because you were good enough and you just loved the game. You never thought much about how you could make a living doing it. Now a days it appears that is the only reason for getting into sports.Since just a fraction will make it most still do not think about getting a good education so you can make a living when you don't make it into sports.

You must not understand how big money companies work.
Like the poster said, they are all LSU graduates and heavily involved with LSU. They don't necessarily care about having a player market them but they want to get the best players for LSU and now they have an avenue to do so. They understand that if LSU is to succeed then they also have to step up and be apart of NIL.
These companies are also privately held meaning they can do what they want with their money regardless of an advertising budget
