Ok. Using this scenario. What is their pay for 9 months work divided into hourly wage. Let’s take a look at that and then contemplate wage disparity. 46 to 60 grand looks a lot better for 9 months work than 12
Google says that there is 2080 work hours in the year.
45,000 / 2080 = 21 dollars an hour. For 12 months work.
Ok. Let’s take 9 months.
2080 * .75 = 1,560 work hours for 9 months.
45,000 / 1,560 = 29 dollars an hour (rounded).
So newer educators are actually earning almost 30 bucks an hour for actual time worked. About the same as Dental Hygienists.
You are quoting contract language of the teachers. I’m quoting real world.
