Y’all MF’ers who took that experimental therapeutic are screwed. Good luck with your future health.

Took Ivermectin prophylactically when wife got COVID, never got sick. And she recovered in a couple days.

It’s crimInal what the government & medical community forced upon the American people. I hope their judgment day comes soon.

Maybe if they wanted it to be taken seriously as a medicine for humans, they shouldn't have called it "horse paste."

Were people making fun of Ivermectin as a treatment or the fact that people were going to Tractor Supply to buy horse ivermectin and dosing based upon a facebook prescriptions?

You do realize there are forms that are prescribed to humans, correct?

Those journals are shite. Nice try.

If ivermectin and whatever else trumpys want to say work like HCQ or bleach, how come when trump was being treated for Covid he got none of that. Zilch. The leader of the free world. The most powerful man in the world. Gets none of that. Time to move along and let the real scientists work. Alex Jones might need an intern retard.

We put a little Ivermectin in the kids' breakfast smoothies once a week. For the one that is breast feeding, the wife rubs a little on her nipple. They haven't had pinkeye or covid since.

the first two are retrospective studies from the same journal with an impact factor of 3.6.

at BEST these prove some correlation.

the third is from an online "journal" with an impact factor of 1. its an observation study. its about useful as toilet paper. well, no, toilet paper is more useful.

I am not stating whether "horse paste" has any affect on the virus or not, just that these studies dont prove anything.

There's no "horse" Ivermectin. It's just Ivermectin. You can put some big Ibuprofen in a bottle with a horse on the label, but it's still just Ibuprofen

Explain how impact factor affects the validity of the paper.

I'll assume this is an honest question and not a half arse dig. theoretically it doesn't, realistically it does.

impact factor is a gauge of how much weight the journal has to the scientific community. The lower the impact, the lower its importance to the general community. That's not to say a low impact is bad. if youre in a very small field, lets say, the research involving left pinky fingers, you will likely be publishing in journals about left pinkies. the world in general, doesnt give a shite, or atleast, not a lot of shits about left pinkies. You could publish the most profound article on left pinkies in the history of left pinkies, but more than likely, youre going to still have a low impact.

now lets look the topic at hand. Infectious disease. kinda a big topic right? COVID to boot, also, right now, kinda a hot topic no? So if these articles were actually worth a damn, dont you think a journal with higher impact would be interested? Nature, probably the most influential scientific publication has an impact of 50.

then lets specifically talk about the 3rd article. published in an online journal with almost no impact. these are circle jerking communities who will publish literally anything. often times the authors themselves pay to have it published. they are simply facets for people to pad their CV and anyone with half a brain who see's something like that knows to immediately toss it into the trash bin.

Ok, still looking for an answer to the original question.

So, were people going to a pet and farm supply outlet and dosing based upon Facebook guidelines?

Trump got monoclonal antibodies (Regeneron specifically) and a multitude of other treatments I'm sure. Ivermectin and HCQ are both good, cheap treatments before you have full-blown covid.

Oh boy this is rich. Which scientists are you talking about? The one's who get grants from the federal gov?

But, now I feel bad because you typed up a nice, informative response.

Whether this stuff really works or doesn't (I'm not a doctor and I have never had a personal encounter so all I have to go on is stuff on the internet) this is all you need to know about why there has been such a smear campaign against it.

So your posts ITT trying to get people to discount the studies aren’t about the studies themselves? You’re talking about where they are published.
