Olive oil is no more processed than butter, lard, or tallow.

There is a several step process to getting oil from olives. Animal fat can be used right after cutting it out of an animal.

Tallow is hard to find... I think you need the grass fed beef tallow for it to be truly healthy.

The heart associate is trash. Been plenty of articles and documentaries about how we have been lied to.

If it's on Youtube, then you know it's true.

This will change tomorrow. We know as much about how our body processes food(s) as we do about outer space.

Are eggs good for you this week?

Ahh, the "natural food" boogey man. What oils are considered processed? You do realize that tallow, lard, and butter are all processed.

It's not about whether it's "natural" or not. We eat massive amounts of vegetable oils that we previously would only get in trace amounts. For example, human consumption of linoleic acid (present in vegetable oils) has multiplied in the past century and a half. Humans never consumed that amount in all of our history, because it requires industrial machinery to extract those types of oils on such a massive scale. It turns out that while your body requires those types of oils for some things, it's not designed to eat large quantities in a reverse ratio. It is the biggest cause of metabolic dysfunction.

What do you expect from a government that came out and marketed the food pyramid?

I have purchased online before... Been a minute tho. I do prefer ghee and avacado oil. Deep fried stuff is best flavor in peanut oil. But all that flour on the chicken is equally as bad as it dripping in lol when you eat 3-4 chicken legs.

We know quite a bit about outer space. The laws of physics arent exclusive to earth.

And whether something is good for you or not has ever changed, only what "accepted science" tells you has changed

The only thing "changing" is the media coverage. You don't think the news has been telling you a straight story all of these years, do you?

The stuff in this thread has been documented by some nutritionists for decades. Start with Weston A. Price's books and you'll see what I mean. Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, published in 1939, puts forward the idea that flour, sugar, and processed vegetable fats cause nutritional and dental problems. Obesity rates are skyrocketing and we're still ignoring him.

And Ancel Keyes, the pioneer of the Lipid Hypothesis that demonizes fats and inspired the food pyramid, has been shown to have selectively left out portions of studies that opposed his theories.

But government and faulty science would never conspire for the benefit of a profitable industry, and if they did the media would never distort the truth. Right?
