Ukrainian Engineers Create Drone That Can Carry Several Smaller Ones
New Ukrainian development is already being tested on the battlefield
Ukraine's 414th Separate Battalion of Unmanned Strike Aircraft Systems of the Marine Corps, better known as "Madyar's Birds," has received a new Ukrainian development for FPV-drones.
It is a Unmanned Aerial Carrier that can carry additional drones. The first sample of such a drone was presented by the unit's commander Robert Brovdi with call sign Madyar, who thanked the volunteers for creating and delivering this development.
The details of the development are not disclosed in order not to announce the capabilities of this UAV. Therefore, such things as communication systems, range and flight time, the number of FPV drones that can be carried by the Unmanned Aerial Carrier, etc. are not disclosed.
But the main goal of this drone is obvious from its name. It is a large and powerful drone that carries lighter attack drones. This makes it possible to increase the range of flight. But the range is useless if there is no communication. That is why the second obvious task a drone should perform is signal retransmition.
