Mussolini and Hitler were socialists

The greatest example of fascism being a left-wing phenomenon was in the United Kingdom. Sir Oswald Mosley was a disciple of John Maynard Keynes in his early years and, after a brief stint as a Tory, became a Labour MP and a close confidant of Ramsay MacDonald. In fact, the six original members of the New Party, which was the precursor to the British Union of Fascists, were all Labour MP's.

Most of your traditional Tories at that time would have seen fascism as an industrial and barbaric ideology that had no regard for the class structured and agrarian-centered economic systems that had dominated England for centuries.

I compared it the extreme capitalist ideology, anarcho-capitalism, which is also powered by unicorn farts, so in that way they are comparable.

You should have stopped it already

You need to stop drawing invalid conclusions from faulty assumptions.

You are the one that inserted what you plainly now argue is an irrelevance. Then try to draw similarities with right wing thinking where there were none.

I'm starting to believe that you are actually incapable of carrying on a conversation.

All I was doing was responding to Penrod's statement:
quote:

I always say that the political spectrum is best represented by a circle, and if two move, one to the extreme left and the other to the extreme right, they will meet at the bottom of the circle.

...to say that Anarchy is where the extreme ideals meet - THEORETHICALLY. It's a theoretical, political asymptote that neither ideology will achieve.

I don't even believe in ideals, and I don't believe in government by pure ideology. You seem to have a hard time understanding when someone is simply explaining a theory from when they are actually promoting a theory. You're too busy trying to sniff out ideological impurity.

I have the feeling, that if I were to ask you to explain me what Anarch capitalism is, you wouldn't be able to.

And btw, you can actually have a socialist government in Anarch Capitalism. Think of that what you may.

Anarcho capitalism is not Utopic, none of it's theorists have ever mentioned how in such society poverty nor hunger would get fixed, let alone any of the others problems.

High Communism, aka worker's Utopia, does propose that in such system nor poverty nor hunger exist.

Also, Anarcho Capitalism is hardly the endgame of any right wing ideology, if you stretch it, like really much, you can say it's the endgame of libertarianism, and that's not true, just a tiny fraction of Libertarians want anarcho capitalism.

Thanks. I can't say I'm very familiar with anarcho-capitalism, except from it's mere name it implies "anarchy" and "capitalism". I'm making the assumption that anarchy would be an end game, and capitalism is sort of diametrically opposed to communism, so I went from there.

I guess I assume that any extreme end of liberalism implies communalism. But, on second thought, that may not be necessarily so.

we are saving Literally Stalin for the leftists. It just hasn't caught on. Stalin is closer to Left Wing politics than Hitler was to Right

SIAP, I did not read the whole thread.

It is a Line, not a Circle, Negative and Positive extremes cannot meet and connect. Ergo, extreme Left and Right are not the same.

Anyone here that claims Hitler, Mussolini, Peron et. al. is to the right of JFK regarding the relationship of government and industry and their heavy-handed control of an economy and the people, I would love to read the Mental Gymnastic involved in your reasoning.

I already admitted as much, so your feelings are validated.

government in Anarch... Think of that what you may.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me. Anarchy to me means absence of government, so if there's government, there's no anarchy.

You compared something extremely common on the left with something rarer than pink diamonds on the right
