Welcome. My wife and I live in Garden Oaks (no kids). Oak Forest elementary is good, better than garden oaks Montessori which we’re zoned to so good on yall. A lot of people I know send their young ones to St. Rose of Lima.
Church wise… I grew up in Houston and have always attended Second Baptist Woodway. 15min drive from the house. Not sure on the more local Baptist churches.
D’Alba is a new restaurant that just opened on Alba, you’ll enjoy. Wakefield has a ton of cool bars and farmer markets for weekend play.
Garden Oaks/Oak forest is great, family oriented community.
