If there are bullet holes in the van and the police made contact with some residents out there, I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah I agree.

I certainly don't agree with people shooting at vehicles based on some 'suspicion" - you better have some really serious iron clad evidence before you do that.

Just because this is probably not a hoax should not make us more prone to accept the bullshite hoaxes that are 99% of these 'reports.'

In fact we should come down hard on the real bad examples instead of just trying to make excuses for bad decisions.

The summer I graduated from high school I worked for a liquor distributor that my cousin was the general manager of. One day two of his drivers (black guys) out on delivery claimed they were robbed of the COD money by a white guy. Turns out they took the COD money and smoked crack with it. My cousin forced one of them to admit the truth.

You would have been the idiot who believed them.

Already deemed a hoax.

He has to be prosecuted and billed for the police man hours.

Fed ex and UPS rent a lot of vans, especially for rural deliveries.

Yep. Also depends on the fedex site they are coming from. 3 FedEx sites deliver to my area. 2 of them use the regular FedEx trucks, but the third fedex site rents uhauls to deliver.

If he isn't really a FedEx driver that would be easy to find out.

He can subpoena his cell phone records to show where he was when he called his manager.

Ballistics can confirm the bullet holes.

It could be bogus but the story is fairly easy to confirm or debunk.

The closest FedEx/UPS distribution center to me is about 70 ish miles away.

And yes, both of those companies rent vans of all kinds.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it's another hoax. He'll get his 15 minutes of fame, media will wag their fingers at all white people. A local Democrat politician may latch on. Then when it's discovered that it was a hoax, the story will disappear.

FedEx Express rents vehicles for high peak times like Christmas for extra drivers to have vehicles. However, FedEx Ground are contract employees. 99.999% of the time when someone complains about FedEx being a douche delivering, it's by Ground people.

1. The story says this guy is a Fed Ex driver, but that he was driving a Hertz van. I assume that is the Hertz rent-a-car company. Why would a Fed Ex driver be driving a rented van with Hertz markings on it?

Are you are just looking for reasons to justify a person getting shot at?

You are what's wrong with our current issue in this country..

There was zero evidence the George Floyd cop was racist or his actions were race based. But, that didn’t stop the media from demonizing all white people for the last 2 years.

That’s because it’s not out there.

2 men were arrested for shooting at the driver’s van. His van had bullets in it. He absolutely works for FedEx - the company released a statement.

The only question is motivation.
