The endowments at the Texas schools grew exponentially during the fracking boom. They were all heavily invested in that. It didn’t get that big from individual donors

Boosters and donors donating to an endowment vs buying players for a football team are not mutually exclusive.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE frick YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
There is absolutely no correlation between the two. First, no school can funnel endowment money into NIL. Also, as has been stated here before, the Texas school endowments are being fed by state oil and gas rights payments. They aren’t that big because of alumni. And again, they aren’t being used for football, much less paying players.
