Lsu in the long run is in trouble because we don’t have the alumni to fund the NIL kitty to compete with the other big boys.

When we are naming restrauntuers and personal injury attorneys as our big guns vs programs that actually churn out high net worth individuals. in the long run our educational deficiency is going to be plain to see.

Wait until big money at Michigan, UT, USC and UNC want a good football team… the rankings will strongly correlate to the Usnwr top college rankings and lsu ain’t even sniffing the top 200.

Stats:

Ut endowment 31b
Tamu endowment 13.5b
Lsu 500m

Restaurants and personal injury attorneys are exactly the type of things NIL was meant for. The money being given out by A&M is NOT NIL. It's just bags of cash so calm down.

I think people way overestimate how valuable a college football player is to their company/brand. Especially when college football players don't exactly stand out nationally and are small fish in big ponds in the big money areas.

Big corps have no need for college athletes unless that college player is very well established, so absolutely no high school athletes are getting jack shite from a big company.

I don’t believe it will be unregulated like this for much longer. Every major program except the Texas schools are bitching about it. All they’ll have to do is form a new league and exclude the Texas schools unless they agree to some guidelines. See how many kids will go there once they see that Texas schools only play each other. It’ll be like the longhorn network all over again. Big money with bad results and no one will pay attention

How much are you guys paying O to sit in his hot tub with bimbos?

You should have plenty of money to compete. That $30mil number for ATM is a load of horseshite.

If they paid all 7 of their 5 stars like that one dude that has been reported it would be around $3.5 mil over 4 years for all seven.

LSU is constantly in the top 5 in terms of football revenue. The alumni and fans will support LSU but Woodie is going to need to find a way to funnel some of that revenue to NIL deals. Seems like we’re behind.

not this again.

The only measure of booster money in relation to athletics is booster donations. Booster money IS NIL money.

When it comes to booster donations LSU is right there with AU and TAMU, with us all behind Bama by multiple factors.

Endowments mean jack shite in regards to NIL.

It is a matter of willpower + organization. It is NOT a function of means unless our booster donations (as a measure of capability) take a historical dive.

You probably should look up what an endowment is before using it as your single variable to forecast NIL success

A large endowment would probably mean alumni are less willing to donate to athletics as opposed to academics.

The notion that LSU football is poor and can’t keep up in NIL funding is absurd. Do you think they’ve been living off of scraps over the past 20 years? How exactly do you think they’ve been able to win three national championships over that time? Smoke and mirrors?

An endowment has nothing to do with NIL money. It may take 2-3 years to figure things out, but LSU will get things tightened up.

Well endowment money is not for athletics and much of A&M’s endowment comes from state funds. I don’t know what the point is here. Colleges are not allowed to be involved in NIL by NCAA rules. NIL must come from outside funds from sponsors like companies. Endowment does not factor into NIL at all.

If we talk endowments you better hope Harvard doesn’t get involved because they would dominate the entire country. I am sure some idiots will down vote but you don’t know what you are talking about.

All those billionaires elsewhere didn't get that rich by making bad investments and blowing money on useless things. Meanwhile in Louisiana, MFers are spending $6/lb for crawfish when they'll be $1.99 in a few weeks.

LSU will be fine.

There are only about 7 programs that have a serious NIL base .. And Bama and LSU aren’t any one of them.

1. Texas
2. Aggys
3. USC
4. Ohio State
5. Michigan
6. Florida
7. Georgia
