So if doctors & engineers live in what you described as poverty-level in the U.S., what professions do live in what would be your average, middle class homes here? Say a normal male / female date here would be drinks & dinner, what's a normal date there?

One of my IT buddies lives in some little town outside of Cabo in Mexico. He lives like a God on what he makes down there.

8 pages in on a thread where a dude is in an eastern European country where war is about to break out and OP has posted a total of zero pics of the scene so far?

Most reading this are regular Joe’s who would never take the initiative because we have great partners and families here at home, and have no desire to travel 27 hours to creep on gold-digging foreign women. That’s not a value judgement at all, mind you, just the average truth of the situation.

But this is America and I am genuinely happy that you are afforded such an opportunity; reason number 9-million that Murica is fricking badass.

My friend dated a Ukranian woman years back. She educated us on not calling it "THE" Ukraine. Other than that, I don't know shite about Ukraine.

Are there a lot of english speakers there? How about the social life? Good bars, restaurants, etc... Or is it just one big New Iberia like I always suspected?

The real estate here is very interesting. $10,000 for a 1500 square foot home in good shape would be considered normal. The 12 room Beach resort I stayed at was 20,000. Granted 8 rooms didn't have air-conditioning but were clean. Walking distance to beach. Fruit and nut trees, plenty of flowers nice looking

That’s a freaking golf cart in the states.

I am not going to say that’s delusional but.. that’s a little delusional.

Amongst people i know, from various backgrounds, having lived in various parts of the country- for most of them this isnt the case.. there was recently a thread here asking ‘How many of you are truly happy in ur marriage’ and for the ones who were still married and not yet divorced, the responses- on the whole- were extremely depressing… also, i think the national divorce rate hovers right around 50% of marriages, if not higher by now.. so i think that your claim that ‘most reading this’ have happy marriages , relationships, whatever - is simply not factual .

Boomers made divorce fashionable. They are the worst.

This is a nice summation i think.. just a random comment , from a random article about expat living in Thailand.. it sums up the subject, I think, more eloquently than i could, b/c i do in fact find most women in their 40s and 50s to be land whales or they have short hair that almost makes them look like dudes .

OK.
Real Estate - check
Quality/Cost of major medical (ie open-heart, severe trauma)
Same for cupboard staples - milk, eggs, sugar, etc
