Can’t wait to start getting players that love to play football and not just the guys who only play football because they think they can make a few bucks from it.

A Denbrock offense would be right up his alley, and he leaves. Oh, well.

He can sign as a free agent make a few bucks for 2 or 3 years. Can’t remember if he graduated but he needs that degree. My big issue with someone like this is he isn’t losing a bunch of cash if he gets hurt in the bowl game. So what’s his reason? He really doesn’t care about his teammates or his school? Maybe he should have sat out all year and let someone else get some PT.

I don't think he's NFL caliber.

But, I wish him the best.

Yeah it would be wiser to come add more wear and tear to himself when playing a position that has an extremely short life in the NFL

Thinking TDP's duration in the NFL is going to be determined by "wear and tear" is highly optimistic.

Im sure recruits will love the negativity that some "fans" have towards players that wear purple and gold.

Wish the man good luck and move on

Wish TDP the best.
But you had one more chance to wear purple and gold and you chose not to do so.
Additionally, your success at LSU was wonderful but very brief. And I think you will agree, there was much room for improvement to be a sure thing in the NFL.
You would have been the feature back in a new Brian Kelly offense. Might have led to even greater moments and raised your draft value.
Best wishes.

So, not agreeing or understanding the decision is negative?

Wish him the best but it's a head scratching decision, for sure.

Not a wise decision at all

They were discussing this on the Jimmy Ott show. Years from now they won't have the memories of playing in this bowl game, even if it's considered insignificant. Also they are passing up an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent and get a possible bump in the draft (If they aren't already graded for the first round).

Good decision by him. Realistically he's not getting any better by staying another year. He is what he is. He's not a top end talent, but he's a solid college RB. If he can have Darrell Williams NFL career, that would be a huge win.

If anything, he would be splitting more time next year with Emery and 2 sophomores who will get bigger/faster/stronger. Actually kind of excited to let those guys get more carries. Would love more of a homerun threat in the backfield.

This is one thing that Kelly MUST change! Who are these kids listening to and getting advice from?

Just being objective, I'd be surprised if he makes a practice squad. That's not negativity, it's objectivity.

He doesn't bring anything as a receiver, he lacks a burst as a runner. There are probably going to be 20 RBs higher rated than him.
