I was there. Court looked tiny in the vast e layout of the Dome. growing up an LSU kid in the 80s was a great time as a fan.

I was there too. Court seemed like a mile away as a kid. Lol.

Dale Brown was a master motivator. He got the 86-89 teams to embrace the underdog role. For this specific game , he marketed it around as the game that will set the record for the highest attendance in NCAA history. He then convinced sponsors to buy the game tickets and distributed them to boys and girls high school basketball teams around he state. I was a junior and our entire team went to the game on these tickets, along with thousands of other high school kids.
