All the talk of north Louisiana being the recruiting issue for LSU, yet BR seems to be the most difficult area to get commitments. What’s the deal? Alabama’s LB core the past 3-4 years is a key example.

I get this argument, but I'm somewhat conflicted about it. Number one, a change of scenery occurs if you move out of North baton rouge and on to LSU campus. Number two, you have an opportunity to be a role model and a hero in your community

He is but I don't think where he lives in proximity to Bama is as bad as U-high kids in proximity to LSU.

Baton Rouge talent is strong... the football players that come out of BR are usually pretty good as well.

I doubt this is the case for Ausberry

He goes to U-High.

He's already on LSU's campus.

They've had 2.

Dylan Moses, who finished at IMG.

Christian Harris, who didn't hold an LSU offer.

Chris Allen, who was making his decision during a coaching change.

Allen and Moses wouldn't have been game changers at LSU. Harris would have started opposite Clark.

There's not some long, extensive list of studs that leave BR and go shine somewhere else.

Racist as hell. But not surprised by your ignorance. People like you are why we are going to probably turn into a dumpster fire for real.

For whatever reason the numbers of 4 and 5 star talent right around Baton Rouge we’ve missed out on the last decade or so is infuriating.

It almost feels like the nineties when you knew top Louisiana talent was headed to USC, Nebraska, Miami, Florida State, etc.

How fricking maddening is it when Alabama’s starting linebackers are not only all from Louisiana, but all from Baton Rouge? Miles and Orgeron are both to blame.

I know Kelly is just getting here, but he needs to get this shite fixed in a hurry.

That’s 3, and that was one example. Alabama’s entire starting LB core are from Baton Rouge. Moses is a BR consideration regardless of where he finished. 3/4 HS years at Alabama, he left for IMG. Jardin Gilbert, last year, Ausberry this year. His brother is likely to follow. Le’veon moss, another, is an ATM commit.

My kids aren't going to college for 10 years, I'm already telling them that I'm not staying when I'm retired. I don't want them putting roots in Baton Rouge. If they decide to go to LSU, it's completely their decision, but I would rather them go out of state.

I grew up in BR and went to LSU. I definitely regret not going out of state. I didn't realize how shitty BR was until I left later in life.

Kids that grew up in Baton Rouge want to go somewhere else for college. It's really not that hard of a concept.

He won’t and it doesn’t mean he won’t be successful. Nick Saban will always come to Louisiana and even BR to get recruits just like he will in every state and every city that has top talent in it around the country.

Alabama and Nick Saban are in the midst of the greatest dynasty in the sport’s history. Some people just want to go and be apart of it.

Yeah, I live in Nashville after growing up in southern LA, I wouldn’t go back. But, even now, I can say if I was top recruit, there’s no doubt, I would’ve been in BR. BR is far better than most of the cow pastures other SEC schools have to offer, though. I’ve always wondered why Vanderbilt doesn’t do better, recruiting. The city has the most appeal.

Jardin Gilbert,

Wasn't offered until 2 weeks before ESD.

Ausberry this year.

See above. Wasn't heavily recruited until a week ago

Not necessarily. The older brother always talked about going out of state
