I’ve heard that Fritz is gone. He really likes Houston and both of his daughters live there. If he doesn’t take the job it will be because they decided to go in a different direction (younger). They are in New Orleans talking to him right now

Makes sense that Tulane told him to pound sand with his AD recommendation.

Jon Sumrall may be interested in a significant pay raise while he waits out Kentucky or a power 5 job.

Alex Atkins, GJ Kinne, Rich Rod should also get calls IMO

Make Rich Rod say no. Guiding Jacksonville State through the process of moving up is impressive.

I’d love to see coach Steve Ensimger come out of retirement for this job! Will never happen but would be fun to watch

Pound sand best coach in school history. We're powerhouse Tulane.

They knew he was looking to leave.

Why let him pick the AD?

Rich Rod would hire Tater Tot to some advisory or analyst role. Having a Bowden/Rich Rod combo at Tulane has paid dividends in the past. Rich Rod also might not look to jump ship if he has a little success.

He’s bounced around a lot, and been in and out of coaching since he was fired from Arizona. Making $3 million a year at Tulane is a good deal for someone who’s head coaching future has looked dead more than once, only to be resurrected.

He does have baggage of sanctions and lawsuits in his past. He has left behind some messes.

Tulane should have hired Rich Rod as HC 25 years ago.

Could do a lot worse. RR did a very good job at Jacksonville St.

Maybe but he will get an opportunity to get a power of 5 in the near future.
Elko is an example of getting the HC experience before getting back to Texas A&M as the HC.

Not even joking slightly, Ed O.

He’s been supporting the program.

Give him a budget to get two dynamite coordinators and give him close to zero buyout and dare him to want to crush it for a season or two and take a much bigger gig.

Best case scenario we get a broke and motivated Coach O

Worst case scenario we get our own Sonny Cumbie

I could see Orgeron killing it at a place like Tulane, but it’s a risk

He’s a former national champion head coach that was known for a decade as the best recruiter in the nation and now has the ability to legally put cash in the hands of recruits.

Tulane just needs to keep the same type of Coordinator budget that let them steal Troy’s DC last year.

I know Houston is in the Big 12 now but is Houston that much better of a job than Tulane?

I heard that Tulane didn't because it was assumed RR would leave for West Virginia as soon as that job opened up.
