Haven’t seen the first Brandon Sanderson secret novel.
I for one really enjoyed the type of narrative he took with Hoid telling you the story. Felt like I was dropped in stormlight were he was sharing a story with Kaladin or Shallan.
What are everyone else’s thoughts on the story, I enjoyed the stand alone nature. Felt like it was a larger novella or short story expanded.
Cool to be introduced to different type of investiture as well.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks while walking. I listened to Tress as soon as it was released. I really enjoyed the story and the narration. Tress was such a boring, normal young lady so surely the story would echo that?
Brandon Sanderson shows his versatility in his playful prose which had me laughing often -- so very different than what I am used to from him, but so very awesome. What a terrific writer.

Can tell sando had a blast with the prose and humor writing as Hoid. Liked it as a stand-alone, waiting for a spoiler stream where they reveal some of the cosmere crossovers. “Oh yes. I’ve said those words. I said them with sixteen other people, in fact.”
