We'll have to see. If he finishes this year, then I'll definitely agree with you. His edit and revision process for a stormlight book is at least 6-8 months.
I think his progress on Stormlight 5 has gone well so far because nothing has been signed with Hollywood for an adaptation. So that hasn't taken away a significant amount of his time.
Sanderson said this time last year, he thought most likely they would start production in 2023.

This concerns me. Right now is the worst time for an adaptation of this series with the Hollywood agenda whores running things. They will destroy this.

He recently said that he hit an impasse and all talks have stalled out for now
Also, to the other poster, Sanderson has said he won’t just sign over creative control if he proceeds with adaptation

In a recent podcast, he said nothing would happen anytime soon. That the environment has changed over the last year etc.
One of the main reasons (maybe the only) he hasn't signed is that he wants to retain creative control to prevent another bad adaptation.
I remember him saying awhile back when Hollywood first started approaching him. That the studios were flabbergasted when he told them I don't need your money and will wait until he gets what he wants.

Yeah I do hope any contract signed for the rights keeps creative control in his hands. That's very difficult to do in the Hollywood game, but he seems to be fine never having these go to screen otherwise... at least I hope that's the case.

Is the skyward books by Sanderson any good?

I enjoyed them. I binged the first two books in a couple days. They are much shorter/easier reads than the Cosmere stuff.

Good YA reads. Super easy and fun page turners. Liked the Reckoners more.

I’m 5 chapters in and hooked.
So let’s start the discussion and spoilers
SPOILERS BELOW
for Book 4 - The Sunlit Man
Do we think we know The Nomad already?
I think we might though I’m not sure who.
For some reason, I keep thinking it’s The Lopen.
ETA:
Never mind you figure out who it is in Chapter 10.
Sanderson is doing such a great job with the Cosmere the giant question is does he attempt at some point to stick the landing and end the story or does it just persist until it inevitably falls apart?

Seems like Oct10 is when I can pick up book 4. Sucks.
Doing Elantris right now. Not sure why people hate on the book, I've been enjoying it a lot at around the halfway Mark

I’ve liked it a bit more than Warbreaker.
Lot of people love Warbreaker. I thought it was just solid nothing more

I agree with you.
I personally really love Warbreaker.

I thought Elantris was by far his weakest single book? That said Emperors Soul was awesome. Halfway through secret project 4.
