Pro Football Focus recently unveiled their rankings for the top returning College Football players at every position.

LSU's Will Campbell is PFF's top returning offensive tackle, and Harold Perkins is the top linebacker.

OFFENSIVE TACKLES
1. WILL CAMPBELL, LSU TIGERS
2. KELVIN BANKS JR., TEXAS LONGHORNS
3. JONAH MONHEIM, USC TROJANS
4. AJANI CORNELIUS, OREGON DUCKS
5. WYATT MILUM, WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS

Campbell started at left tackle for LSU as a true freshman in 2022 and has been nothing but a star during his two years there. His 85.6 pass-blocking grade on true pass sets in 2022 trailed only Peter Skoronski among Power Five tackles. Skoronski was subsequently selected No. 11 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.

LINEBACKERS
1. HAROLD PERKINS, LSU
2. BARRETT CARTER, CLEMSON
3. JAY HIGGINS, IOWA
4. DANNY STUTSMAN, OKLAHOMA
5. JAISHAWN BARHAM, MICHIGAN

Perkins entered Baton Rouge as a top-10 recruit and proved why in his true freshman season. In 2022, he paced all Power Five linebackers with a 91.0 PFF pass-rushing grade and placed second among all FBS linebackers with 18 quarterback knockdowns (sack/hits).

If Perkins can diagnose the plays as fast as Devin did. OMG it's going to be fun to watch.

With Perkins moving back to the middle, the focus for the DTs has to be simply to eat up blocks, hold at the point of attack, and let the LBs flow to the ball. They do not have to be the guys making the plays.

I remember a time when stud NFL prospect level DTs were the most abundant in Louisiana.

Emory Jones snubbed. When he's healthy he's a damn AA. He ain't that far off Campbell. You could make a strong argument he's a better Run blocker but Will has an obvious advantage in Pass pro. We're lucky to have them both.

If they live up to their billing we'll make the playoffs!

Did Emery get snubbed? Kinda feel like he should be on that list too but maybe not?

Injury was only reason imho.

I think he is the third tackle off the boards in mock drafts....some of these guys may be underclassmen, but I doubt it. I doubt they wanted to put two LSU tackles up there when it is all subjective anyway.

The reason Jones isn’t on that list is because he’s not top five - injured or not. He can be damn good and not be top five, and that’s just what he is.
