While speaking to the media after practice on Thursday, head coach Brian Kelly was asked about the tight end group of Ka'Morreun Pimpton, Mac Markway, and Mason Taylor.
Kelly said that the younger guys, Pimpton and Markway, have both improved this spring and that Taylor will play a major role in the offense this upcoming season.

"With KP, we have always felt like he was going to be a dynamic presence as a pass catcher," Kelly said. "We had to get him feeling more comfortable in the structure of the offense and then become more physical as an in-line blocker. And I think he's established that this spring."
"Mac is a guy who has improved in pass-catching, route running, and awareness in the passing game. He continues to get better in the run game."
"We are really pleased with the development of both of them," Kelly said.
"And Mason as well. He's a player that we are going to count on much more than we did last year. He's going to be a central figure in what we do. And Garrett looks to him as well. In this offense, the tight end will be featured quite regularly."
