If you can’t tolerate throwing a $100 bill out the window just because, you might not want a boat.

I just bought a used 18' triton bass boat. This was my first used boat. Right off the jump I had to pay state and parish sales tax because i purchased from a dealer out of state. (4,000 dollars i wasn't banking on)
Next was the insurance. My old aluminum bass boat was around 350 a year to insure. This one is more than double.
Two stroke oil (50 bucks a gallon)
it has been in the shop three times locally since i brought it home, roughly 2,000 dollars (outboard issues)
New prop (the prop that was on it at the time of purchase was not the right size) 600 dollars, used.
I purchased a high quality canvas cover for the boat because it is under my carport. Don't want stray animals in it. That was 300 dollars (lucked out and found one with a factory blemish. Retail was 1300 dollars.
Replaced bad TM batteries with Lithium (1200 dollars)
I will soon need a new cranking battery.
New onboard charger (old one went out)
This is all since the beginning of march.
