There’s a nature preserve in Lacombe that might be a good choice, if you end up meeting her kid. Was there not long ago when the camellias were blooming. Some pleasant walks, a guided ranger tour, fun kid-friendly activities, and a solid museum/nature-center at the visitor center. Good luck!

For a first date guaranteed to lead to a second date, take her to Palmetto’s on the Bayou in Slidell. (Bring bug spray.) The Grand Theater Slidell is not far from there, if there’s a decent date movie in the offerings. Not familiar with Slidell nightlife, but there should be some decent bars in Old Town Slidell, I would think. Too bad that The Blind Tiger Slidell has closed.

This is a solid choice as well.
I have had some good meals there when I’m Slidell.
However, I still prefer the Covington food scene if I have a choice. For its size, Covington has far more quality restaurants than it should. Good stuff.

Well hell baw. The age of consent in Louisiana is 17. Go for if that's you. Im sure you would have no issue seeing your 17 yo daughter with a 60 yo man. Same age difference as old Mick and his wife.
