Went to see the Blue Angels documentary yesterday at the local Regal IMAX. It is a really well done film and covers a lot of things I never would have even thought about (candidate selection, why they don't wear g-suits, the roles of the various pilots). It's a great documentary to see at home when it launches on Prime next week.

But, I am so glad I went to see it in the theater. The sounds, and the huge screen with the IMAX film resolution was just amazing. Some things just have to be seen on the big screen to fully appreciate them, and this is one of those.

I enjoyed it. FWIW the #1 with the moniker of Boss strongly resembles Paul Rudd's older brother from Wanderlust. His wife however did not match the red wine consuming bored housewife. She was military with decent biceps.

Just got out. It was indeed well done. My first IMAX experience in a while. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Never realized so many pilots have been killed in accidents as part of the Blue Angels.
