Not sure about this casting.

I’m not sure who Oscar Isaac knows, but he’s just an awful actor that keeps getting big roles.

They need to bring in Kurt Russell as either Old Snake or Solidus. Doubly so since Snake Plisken is acknowledged as the character’s inspiration.

The guy from the photo isn't Solid Snake...it's Naked Snake/Big Boss (unless that's Venom Snake or whatever)

The movie isn't out yet, but I can already picture the non-gaming crowd making reviews complaining about how convoluted the story is.

Pretty much.

When your LEAST complicated game requires multiple double crosses and realizing that at least one person died and was impersonated before you ever met them, it is gonna do that.

Something we can all agree on:

If the song, "The Best Is Yet To Come" is not playing at the end, it is a complete failure.

Totally

Especially when they get to the end of Metal Gear Solid 4...then it gets even worse in Metal Gear Solid 5. fricks with the ENTIRE understanding of the Metal Gear Solid series timeline.

I still remember playing the game and being blown away I had to take out the controller and put it in the second slot to beat psycho mantis

That was next level mind game shite

That's why I think the movie will go with the MGS1 plot because its the easiest to understand. They'll likely do away with the clone stuff too.

Yeah, this is false. Metal Gear was released on 8 bit systems in 1987. The Playstation wasn't released until 1997. Metal Gear SOLID came out in 1998.

I always laugh any time somebody puts that sound in a video on YouTube or something.

It’s like the Wilhelm scream of surprises. Everybody uses it but probably doesn’t know where it came from.

In terms of a single game, MGS3 has the best movie potential because it's basically Rambo meets James Bond covert thriller

The "Snake Eater" theme was deliberately done to give it the feel of a Bond Movie.

I'll say it again though, this song MUST be in the film or it is a failure. Even the English version is sufficient even though the original Gaelic is better. (This is the theme during the closing credits as Snake, Meryl and Hal are driving away on snowmobiles)

I guess he looks close enough visually to him, not perfect but would be hard to get perfec.t

Biggest problem is I will NEVER accept anything other than David Hayter's voice as the true snake. Snake's voice and personality as done by Hayter ARE his character.

What about Big Boss?

Richard Doyle, David Hayter or Kiefer Sutherland?
