I plan to go to Indy in the next couple of years. We will have to do a TD meet up.

Anyone going to any other races this season?

Siegel gets bumped IMO. He is too slow.

after seeing that last sim by Graham, Siegel has a legit shot to bump him

Boy, yesterday I was sure Siegel was going to get bumped. Now I'm not so sure. He's approaching this like he's got nothing to lose, and Graham is ready to have a meltdown. It's gonna be a nail-biter.

BTW, when i saw on the graphic that Nolan was from Palo Alto, I thought he was probably the son of a really rich tech entrepreneur or something. Nolan's wiki and web site were no help, but with a tiny bit of sleuthing, I was able to figure out that his father is venture capitalist and IMSA racer Mark Siegel.

his dad is one of the managing directors of Menlo Ventures which is one of the biggest VC firms

I think Siegel will eventually progress into a pretty competitive driver.

I could see his and Malukas’ dad eventually buy out Dale Coyne (He drives for HMD- Malukas’ team in Indy lights)

OK Honda is not winning the Indy 500 this year.

But it's weird how Sato and Rosenqvist's four laps are so consistent instead of having the drop-off in speed that we expect.

Outside of the world of Max Verstappen, Kyle Larson may be the best driver in the world. This is incredible

i would put palou, Dixon and newgarden ahead of Larson , but Larson is really good for a nascar guy- maybe the best ever

After the Fast 12 round:

Fast 6
1. Scott McLaughlin #3 (Penske / Chevrolet) 233.492 mph
2. Will Power (W) #12 (Penske / Chevrolet) 233.483
3. Josef Newgarden (W) #2 (Penske / Chevrolet) 233.286
4. Alexander Rossi (W) #7 (McLaren / Chevrolet) 233.071
5. Kyle Larson (R) #17 (McLaren - Hendrick / Chevrolet) 232.788
6. Santino Ferrucci #14 (Foyt / Chevrolet) 232.723

Row 3
7. Rinus VeeKay #21 (Carpenter / Chevrolet) 232.610
8. Pato O'Ward #5 (McLaren / Chevrolet) 232.584
9. Felix Rosenqvist #60 (Meyer Shank / Honda) 232.305

Row 4
10. Takuma Sato (2W) #75 (Rahal Letterman Lanigan / Honda) 232.171
11. Kyle Kirkwood #27 (Andretti / Honda) 230.993
12. Ryan Hunter-Reay (W) #23 (Dreyer & Reinbold / Chevrolet) 230.567

Time to Bump!

Nolan Siegel (R) #18 (Coyne / Honda)
Marcus Ericsson (W) #28 (Andretti / Honda)
Katherine Legge #51 (Coyne - RWR / Honda)
Graham Rahal #15 (Rahal Letterman Lanigan / Honda)

They have one hour. They can make multiple runs until the hour is up.

But it takes a while to cool the car off, so the number of runs they can make is pretty limited.

Yikes, did Ericsson really think he was done?!

Wow, he's in real danger now. He won the race just two years ago! He should have won last year as well!

With less than 25 minutes left, I think Legge is in.

I don't think the other three guys are all going to go out and beat her pretty weak speed of 230.092 mph.

Marcus will beat it, but I don't believe both Graham and Siegel will beat it.

Legge should be lined up to do another run now, just to take up time. This might be mistake not making that strategic move.

Edit: Oh wait, I just learned that you have to withdraw your last run in order to take another run! That explains why they are waiting. They have to wait until Marcus takes another run. No one else is going to withdraw their run until they are bumped out of the lineup.
