The first half of 5 is good and then it makes you replay the missions on harder difficulty and the upgrades on the weapons don’t make much difference

Apparently a lot of stuff hit the cutting room floor and doubling up on the missions was a way to pad out the game’s length because Kojima, Konami, or both quit giving a frick and just wanted it out the door.
