i'm not in favor of school vouchers because it'll just raise the cost of private education and a bazillion , half-assed, "private" schools will sprout up.
what's needed is discipline and enforcement in our public school system. need to bring back corporal punishment. only in school suspension. those kids get to break rocks or some other form of heavy manual labor while serving suspension, along with 3 hits from those old paddles with the holes in them. if they don't show up to school, the law rolls up on their arse and they get to work twice as long. same with juvenile detention centers. work their arse off. move the age to be tried as an adult down to 16.

Yo, Great Santini your tough guy corporal punishment BS won't solve jack shite. The problem with so called public schools is DEMOCRATS. They created the NEA to indoctrinate not educate. Our kids know more about tranny sex and the climate change lie than english, math and history. The only thing your idea will do is get faculty and teachers imprisoned.

i agree with you on the state of the horrible curriculum, but corporal punishment/labor works on most kids. they're just a buncha ignorant vessels driven by their hormones and whether they can get away with something. most kids need a deterrent. i'm not acting tough, it just is.

I like the principle that education dollars fund kids education and not institutions. I don’t think this ESA bill accomplishes that.

Bad private schools don’t maintain enrollment and fail. Bad public schools continue to get our money and continue to produce terrible results.
